Contacting media outlets pays off!

We had multiple clubs whose media outreach led to great promotion of Field Day 2025. One was The Forest Grove News Times that shared what the Portland Amateur Radio Club is doing, and another was the Central Oregon Coast ARC (COCARC) in Florence, which obtained proclamations from Dunes City and Florence as this week being Amateur Radio Week in town.

The Jefferson Exchange on Jefferson Public Radio created an an article and held a live 20 minute interview of Mike KK7NBQ and Joe AA7JS regarding Field Day operations across southern Oregon and ham radio’s role in emergency communications.
